警示牌的含義：

Taking or harmful interference with Antarctic wildlife is prohibited except in accordance with a permit issued by a national authority. (簡而言之，就是眼看手勿動和不要干扰南极的“原居民”。)

Do not feed, touch, or handle birds or seals, or approach or photograph them in ways that cause them to alter their behavior. Special care is needed when animals are breeding or molting. (簡而言之，又是眼看手勿動和保持适當距离。如果企鵝正在孵蛋而你走得太近，企鵝父母便可能因受惊而逃走，企鵝蛋便可能被雀鳥偷吃。到南极有一條所謂“五米距离”的規則 (5-meter rule)，就是不要走近動物五米范圍以內，相反牠走過來踢你就可以。)

Do not damage plants, for example by walking, driving, or landing on extensive moss beds or lichen-covered scree slopes.

(也就是小心走路。要知南极的植物可能要 100 年才長高几毫米，給你一踩便「千年道行一朝喪」了。參觀時這點較易忽略，不過好的領隊會帶游客走适當的路和沿途提醒游客那里要小心。)

Do not use guns or explosives. Keep noise to the minimum to avoid frightening wildlife.(恐怖份子要留意了，其它人則要特別注意“請把音量收細”這點。)

Do not bring non-native plants or animals into the Antarctic such as live poultry, pet dogs and cats or house plants.

(記著要“輕輕的來，輕輕的去，不帶來和不帶走一片云彩”。) 尊重受保護地區方面 (如進入這些地區，領隊應會提醒乘客)

Observe applicable restrictions.(就是叫你循規蹈矩。)

Do not damage, remove, or destroy Historic Sites or Monuments or any artifacts associated with them.(又是眼看手勿動啊。)

Do not interfere with scientific research, facilities or equipment.(叫你乖乖地，不要生事。)

Obtain permission before visiting Antarctic science and support facilities; reconfirm arrangements 24-72 hours before arrival; and comply with the rules regarding such visits.(這點應該領隊會安排，我們只要乖乖地就可以了。)
